  • It's a shame updates haven't been more frequent, but you can all blame Nintendo. They've released so many awesome titles in the past few months, that my time has been consumed by Mario, Samus, and the villagers in Animal Crossing. So hopefully you'll be seeing more of me. Especially now that a new Lufia title is on the way. As for the update: 1 new link, and one old link have been added. The new link is a German Lufia site, and the old link is Forfeit Island's new home.

  • Deleted about 99.9% of the Fortunecity Lufia site. All that's there now is a page telling you to come to the new site. This means I have completely left Fortunecity! Yay! I've always hated Fortunecity...

  • Lots to report! Fortunecity cancelled my domain, Lufia.net, without even telling me! So I bought the domain name, and said "Screw Fortunecity!" So now, Lufia. net is at it's new, very own home! No banners and pop-ups forever! Hopefully... Anyways, the biggest news is that I have changed the name of my website to Lufia.net. It's shorter, and a lot more professional sounding than The Unofficial Lufia Homepage.
  • Also got rid of my ICQ info. I don't use it anymore...

  • Happy New Year! I'm writing this very early in the morning to prove I'm not drunk! Well, the holidays are over, so the much loved holiday pics of the four characters are gone. But they'll be back next December!

  • Boy, I sure have gotten behind on updates. I've been busy in school, that's why... Anyways, it's December, so the Christmas pics of the main characters have been posted. I also made the Lufia desktop Pattern available again. And... all the roms are fixed.

  • I was browsing Natsume's website, and noticed that they FINALLY posted screenshots of Lufia 3. So of course, I posted them on my site. They're on the same page as the other screenshots, but you gotta scroll down to the bottom. There's 6 new ones. Well, 5 really. One is a repeat, but has better resolution.

  • I was kindly sent a scan of all 4 pages from the latest Nintendo Power that had to do with a big preview they did of the game. I suggest all of you go out and buy the May issue, 'cause there is a lot of cool stuff pertaining to Lufia: The Legend Returns. Anyways, I posted all 15 screenshots they had in the issue, and I also added another screenshot I've been meaning to post for quite awhile now. That means that I have posted 16 Lufia 3 screenshots in one day! Go to the Info on Lufia 3" page, and then follow the link that says you can see more screenshots. (Thanks to Jim McBride for more great scans.)
  • Fixed the Lufia 2 and the Estpolis 2 roms, they should work fine now. Also fixed the desktop pattern problem.

  • Added a long article about Lufia III from the April issue of Nintendo Power, as well as 6 new screenshots of Lufia III! This update was made possible by MasterX900. All of this can be found at the info on Lufia III section.

  • Added yet another Fan Fic by Bryan Peterson. Why's no one else sending in stories? Well, this is his fifth story, but probably not his last. Keep up the good work Bryan.

  • Added the article in March 2001 Nintendo Power to the Info on Lufia III page. The article basically confirms that the information we have been hearing about Lufia III is correct.
  • Added a link to Erim.net. A great site for all fans of the Lufia series, especially Erim.
  • Added a new Fan Fic by author Bryan Peterson.

  • Updated my biography page. A lot has changed since I last updated it...
  • Changed info on the walkthrough. Someone informed me that I had said that the Great Potion increases STR, where it actually increases HP. Vice Versa for Power Potion.

  • This is a long delayed update... But it's done now, so now I don't feel so bad for not doing this a few months ago... Anyways, I was sent 3 Fan Fics, all by the same person over the past few months, and only now did I get around to posting them. So, check 'em out, and be sure to thank the author.

  • I was sent 2 screenshots of Lufia 3 by Maxim, which were scanned by Arek. (I go by the nicknames people use on my message board.) One shows a character by a boat, and the other a battle scene. I also hear Nintendo Power will do a preview of this game in their April 2001 issue!

  • I received an e-mail claiming from Bahamut X that he was the true author of the Fan Fic, Arek's Revenge. After reviewing the proof, I concluded he wasn't lying, so I added the true version of Arek's Revenge and gave him the credit.

  • A visitor to my site, Anthony Hobson, informed me that I could find the Japanese versions of Lufia 1 and 2 at a rom site. So now you too can play the original versions of these games. Check the "Download the Lufia Rom" page to download them.

  • Found 2 more pictures regarding Lufia III. One is just a logo for the game, and the other is a picture of the Natsume booth displaying a promo video for Lufia III. You can't see the screen too well, but it looks like Doom Island floating around to me.

  • Found 2 drawings of Wein and Seena (Main characters from Lufia III) from The Gaming Intelligence Agency. You can find them on the Info on Lufia: The Legend Returns page.

  • Well, after 18,000 hits, I had to get a new counter. I was sort of using a counter a wasn't supposed to, and got caught... It was a nice counter. So I decided to back to using a fastcounter. It just better work this time...

  • Added a new animated pic to the Lufia Animations page. This pic was created at the special request of Typhlosion1228@aol.com. It's an awesome pic of when Maxim and his team combine their powers to defeat the Sinistrals. The first time, that is.

  • Hey... it's April Fools day... Anyway, I added a little note to the bottom of my Lufia FAQ mentioning that I gave Gamewinners.com permission to use my FAQ.
  • Made my first change to the Lufia Flash intro. The Lufia logo that gets bigger at the very beginning was kind of crappy, so I refined another logo I had that was bigger, so when it changes size, it doesn't look as bad.
  • Added an animated pic of Doom Island floating around.

  • Added a very cool Flash movie I made. It's a cool way to introduce my site. I like it a lot, and I think I'll keep it up, at least until I make a new intro I like better. Another cool feature is that you can choose what music you want to listen to during the flash movie by using the jukebox. I like to use the Lufia 1 introduction theme while watching the movie. Anyways, enjoy!

  • Well, winter break is over for me, so I'm back at my dorm in Green Bay. Awhile ago, I was offered my own domain name by Fortunecity. I of course accepted, and chose the domain name: http://www.lufia.net. This meant that I had to change my little banners on the "Link to this site" page. So not instead of the animated banners reading: http://go.to/Lufia, they now read: http://www.lufia.net.

  • Happy New Year! This is my first update of the century! I removed the Christmas Pics of the Hero and team, and replaced them with the regular pics. Also updated the Picture of the Week section. I should be on week 3 or 4, but I've been kind of busy, so I'm gonna say that this is week 2.

  • Added an animated pic of the Dragon at the Dragon Shrine.
  • Added a hint to the FAQ on how to beat the Pirates in Aisen Tower. Also added a pic of the 2 pirates. Also added a short hint as to where the key to the Oil Cave is.
  • Added a hint to the FAQ that tells you what the dragon eggs do. Also added a pic of the options the Dragon gives you when you bring him 8 Dragon Eggs.
  • Added a hint on the FAQ on how to defeat the Oil Dragon. Also added a picture of the Oil Dragon.
  • Added a pic of the Dual Blade.
  • Added a hint to the FAQ on how to beat Nazeby. I also finally beat my Lufia rom, so now I have some new awesome pictures to post. I'll sort them out later and create an "End of the game" section. It should be pretty cool.
  • Added an animated Pic of the final enemy, Guard Daos. Its pretty cool so check it out on the Lufia Animations page.

  • Changed the links to other pages on the main page. Now it's one big imagemap of different Lufia characters. I ahven't decided if I like the new look yet, but I'll stick with it for a little bit.

  • First update of the month :) I finally learned how to do imagemaps, thanks to Leclipse :) The first image map I did is the 1st picture on the main page. Depending on what character you click on, you'll be taken to that characters biography page.

  • Changed the main page a little bit. Cleaned up the links to other sections so it looks better.
  • Deleted the paragraph about the lists I want to add lists of all items and stuff. Since its done, I decided its not a top priority anymore.
  • Added a picture to the top of the hints page. Its the scene where Maxim kneels above Selan, as the glass bridge collapses in Doom Island.
  • Added a scanned map of Lufia's World. This map was courtesy of Beenie.

  • Added the link to the Video Game Quiz page again. They finally added the Lufia quiz, so be sure to check it out!
  • Added a list of all the items and helmets listed on the back of the Map.

  • Added a second banner that you can put on your page to link to this site. This time it's a banner that shows the four sinistrals. The banner is on the "Lufia Animations" page, and the "Link to this Site" page.
  • Added a page that will eventually have a list of every Spell, Weapon, Item, and so on. Right now all I have is a list of all rings and spells, but I hope to have more very soon.
  • Well, in the course of the day, I've added 4 more lists, weapons, shoes, armor, and shields. Also added little icons next to the links of these lists. Enjoy!
  • Added a little picture of the Taito logo in the beginning of the game.

  • Added a new animated picture to the animation page. Its an animated little banner, so if you want to link to my site, this banner would make a cool link on any RPG page. I also added a page with the actual HTML code you need to link to my site.
  • Took off the banner to the Video Game Page. I'll re-post it once they finally put my quiz on the page.

  • I added a paragraph to the hints section explaining a strategy to defeat the Guardian in the Tower of Light. I also added a picture of him under the hint.
  • Changed the Guardian's animation pic. Now you can see his face, as well as worship.
  • I was e-mailed by someone who runs a game quizzing site and invited me to write a quiz for Lufia 1. I did, and you should check out his page to take the quiz. The link is on the main page. Click on the Super Nintendo link once on his site.

  • Posted another Fan Fiction. This one is by Lufia Tranvent. She says that her love for the Lufia games has earned her the nickname "Lufia" at her school. I thought that was funny :)

  • Posted the first Fan Fiction. Pretty good story about the little known sinistral, Arek. It was written by BillDozer.

  • Well, I'm sitting in my college dorm room right now listening to "The Very Best of Meatloaf." Since I have an hour before the next group project I have to do, I figured I'd whip up a new animated picture. It is a picture of the Guardian at the top of the Tower of Light. You can't see his face, but he's still moving.

August 28, 1999

  • Well, I leave for college tomorrow, and don't know when I'll be able to update again. Hopefully, I'll get connected to the internet right away. My last gift to you is a link to a Lufia III movie I found. It doesn't show any screenshots from the game and its entirely in Japanese, but you do see pictures of the new characters. The link is on the main page and Table of Contents. I also, finally, ordered the Lufia Biography. This is a 2 CD soundtrack of both Lufia I and Lufia II. I'll tell you guys if its any good when I get it. Anyways, I'll talk to you guys later!

  • Changed my Biography a little bit.

  • Added a Lufia Rom on this site. This will allow you to play the game on your computer.
  • Fixed the link for the Chat Room and Message Board. Now when you click on the link, a new page will pop up. That way you don't have to go back and forth between these two full screen areas.
  • Added my user info for ICQ and AOL IM. Also added an indicator bar so you can see if I'm on ICQ or not.

August 21, 1999

  • Fixed the Dekar's Gone midi I made. I'll explain what I did and maybe you music buffs will know what I'm talking about. (It's not too hard to understand.) Instead of me playing the parts and making a midi out of the self-played arrnagement, I took the time to write a three-part score of the song. Thus making the song sound cleaner. Basically, I plug in the notes, the computer plays 'em, whereas on the old midi, it was me playing the song, not the computer.

  • Added a page listing a few ideas I have for the future of this site.

August 18, 1999

  • Updated the character description pages. Each little biography was modified and a picture of a memorable moment of each character was added.
  • Added a picture of the invisible bridge in the Ghost Cave to the Hints page. Also added a picture of the escape party in Sheran Castle to the Hints page.

August 16, 1999

  • Added a Capsule Monster game. The link is on the Table of Contents under the Lufia Links. It requires a JAVA capable browser to use it. Anyways, enjoy! ;)

  • Added a Lufia Links page with 4 links on it.
  • Added a link to Yukio Nakajima's site. There is a song that was going to be used in Lufia 3 on it. The file is in Mp3.
  • Added a section in the Hints page on how to beat the Dark Ghost in the Red Tower. Also added the battle picture of him below the hint.
  • Finally finished the Three Gems Hint Page. Took me awhile to gather all of the pictures I needed. Now that it is finished, I should probably never receive another e-mail about the three gems.

  • Added 3 new animated pics of Selan, Artea, and Guy and made a better animated Maxim pic. See them on the Saga of Lufia page.

  • Started this What's New page.
  • Added a new picture, the Follower you see at the top of this page. Its another animated one I made.
  • Added a new midi to the jukebox, its the sad theme you here a few times throughout the game. I know that when Guy dies, you hear the tune, but I can't remember the other times in the game when the theme is played.
  • Well, I'm going to Great America today in Chicago, so I won't be able to update the things I wanted to today. Maybe tomorrow. I'm also gonna miss the chat time tonight again :( Anyways, see you guys Saturday.

  • Got our page an awesome chat room. It is in JAVA so you must have a JAVA capable browser. Chat times were also posted. I wasn't able to make the first chat time at 8pm (Central) because I was out having dinner with friends. I really wanted to be there guys... Anyways, if you like the chat room, or want to chat with me, e-mail me at cobes@lufia.net.
  • Added an animated picture of the angel that appears when you die or quit the game.
  • Added a line at the very bottom of the main screen that tells you when the last update was.

  • Wow, I did a lot today... Moved this page to it's new home at Fortunecity.
  • Deleted some pages that no one was using, like the links page (None of the links worked anymore.) Also deleted some of the midis not pertaining to Lufia 1 or 2.
  • Posted a new counter. Something went wrong with the old one. I know I had like 50,000 hits on the old one, so I decided to get a bigger and more reliable counter.
  • Made some minor changes to the Info on Lufia 2 Page.
  • Added pictures of the Apprentice and Phantasm to the hints page.
  • Added a totally new section called The Saga behind Lufia. It is basically the intro to the game with pictures of the Sinistrals, Doom Island, an animated Maxim, and a picture of the final battle.
  • Added a message to the message board about my plans for this site.
  • Changed the layout of the 4 character pictures. Instead of the pictures being in a line down, they are all on the same level. I like the look a lot beter.
  • Added a cool picture of Daos to the Table of contents. Scroll down to the bottom to see it.
