Yeah, same here. Attacking with your character yields more damage than those items, so I don't see the use.

But in the beginning (Elcid - Alunze) they're handy. After that they are very useless.

That's right, hit the Lizard Man twice with a Boomerang and it's dead.

There are no High Bombs in Lufia 2!

I'm assuming that their replacement may have been the "Big Boomer" which is very handy against this enemy.

I have had troubles with this before, but I beat him on level 18 so you should be able to do it easily. Using Big Boomers also gets rid of the annoying companions quickly while still attacking the main enemy.

And that after two and a half years... oh well. While we're at it...

I do believe Shriek heals confusion, not paralysis. You'll want a Mystery Pin for that.

You're right GD!

*throws the SinReVi who made that post out of the window*

But I use Release to heal Paralyse.

i beat the tarantula with lvl 16 party you just need to get the fire dagger in the tower where you fight came. Use the IP blaze attack and it will do around 400dmg even more. So attack with guy and maxim heal with tia and used spark when she call companion.

Tarantula really is cake, Fire Dagger + Aqua Whip is all you need, give Guy a Jewel with a nice IP attack and just go with it. IF he summons small spiders just use Spark on it (Focus, not on both) and its instant gone. I just started playing again and Tarantula lasted only 1 minute for me, all he got to do is Posion Guy and Paralyzed Maxim twice. This guy is cake if you know what to do heh.

Also if you really get low on HP, don't use Strong with Tia, let her use Spark, instead use Camu-Armor's IP (Dunno it's english name as i play the dutch version) with Guy, he is kinda pointless if Maxim uses Fire Dagger (Which he always does with me).
